Upacara Adat Sembahyang Rebut (Chiong Siku) diadakan setiap tanggal 14 bulan VII penanggalan Imlek dimulai pukul 14.00 WIB dan selesai pada pukul 00.00 WIB. Sembahyang Rebut (Chiong Siku) ini dilakukan oleh warga etnis Tionghoa sebagai upacara untuk menghormati arwah- arwah yang telah mendahului terutama arwah leluhur. sebelum acara ritual sembahyang rebut dimulai, mereka terlebih dahulu melakukan sembahyang kepada leluhur di rumah masing- masing.

Wisatawan dapat turut serta mengikuti upacara adat ini terutama pada akhir acara yaitu tepat pukul 00.00 WIB. sebagai penutup upacara, sesajian yang dipersembahkan itu kemudian direbut beramai- ramai dan dibawa pulang. konon katanya, siapa yang tidak berhasil merebut barang/ sesajenan, akan bernasib sial sehingga untuk menghindari nasib sial tersebut, mereka yang gagal merebut tadi terpaksa membawa pulang keranjang kosong tempat menaruh buah- buahan sembahyang. jadi.. jangan sampai tidak dapat yaa....

The Traditional ceremony "Rebut" (Chiong Siku) otherwise known as the Hungry Ghost Festival is held every 14th day of the seventh month in the Chinese calendar, starting at 2 pm and ending at 12 noon. The traditional ritual of worshiping denial (Chiong Siku) is carried out by ethnic Chinese as a ceremony to honor the spirits that have preceded, especially the spirits of the ancestors. before the traditional ceremony begins, they first perform ancestor worship in their respective homes.
Tourists can take part in this traditional ceremony, especially at the end of the event, which is right at midnight. As a closing ceremony, the offerings are then taken by the crowd. it is said that those who fail to seize the goods/offerings will be unlucky so to avoid this disaster, those who fail to take the offerings must bring home an empty basket where they put the fruit of the prayer offerings.
